You say tomato, I say tomato...

I just read a quote that said "... Happiness comes from recognizing what you have."

I read it as "Happiness comes from reorganizing what you have."

I like my way better lol!

I have an idea, you can come here an reorganize things for me. You get happy, I get organized, perfect deal :P

Lol! I actually do that for friends and family members! But they have to agree to it in advance and be there the whole time so I know what they use and don't use and what's important and what isn't. I have a fantastic time! They get a little stressed and keep saying "Can we take another break?" ;)

That's the thing with me, I keep way too much so in the end I don't know what is important. However I moved to this apartment 1½ years ago, and now I sorted a lot of stuff out and went by the rule that if I hadn't touched it since I moved in, it would have to go (doesn't apply to photos and such, but everything else). It was pretty effective! However mmy wardrobe still needs sorting and...no seriously I won't do it, too much work :P

A suggestion (I'm full of them! Lol!) Consider trying this, for starters:

3 piles

1 pile for clothing you would actually use and wear today -whether for hanging around the house, for work, for exercise, or for special occasions.

1 pile for clothes that don't fit you, but that you're saving in case you gain or lose weight.

1 pile for clothes you'd never wear but that you're keeping for sentimental reasons.

The rest gets discarded (what else is there? Lol!)

If you get those 3 piles done, check back and I'll tell you what's next ;) (You don't have to of course! It's a suggestion for if/when you feel like it.)

NQ- you love making suggestions, don't you? :-) Maybe you should start a sort of on-line agony aunt thing?

It's because I've "been there, done that" so much of the time. So I'm like "Ooooh! Oooooh! I know how to do that!!!!"

If someone ever consults me on brain surgery, I'll likely have little to say ;)

How about heart surgery though..? ;)

It's great though, one always needs advice. Actually you make the project looks less intimidating, I might do it. I mean it would give me so much space in my wardrobe, wouldn't that be cool.. Yes, I'm peptalking myself :P

Not much help with heart surgery either ;)

If you're ever motivated to tackle the wardrobe thing, go for it! There's more to do after those 3 piles, but that's the first part.
